"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." (Jeremiah 33:3)

Kingdom praying is the most crucial work we can do.

It demands our time, our energy, our intentional attention, our focus, our self-discipline. We must recommit ourselves to it every day. Prayer is work, but prayer works. More accurately, God works in response to the prayers of His people.

Oswald Chambers said, "Prayer does not just fit us for the greater work. Prayer is the greater work."

T. W. Hunt stated, "Prayer is the shaping force of history. God used Moses' prayers, He used Nehemiah's prayers and He used Jesus' prayers. He used Paul's prayers as God's instruments for shaping the personality and destiny of the new church as it spread across the Mediterranean world."

God's Word, as well as history and our own experiences teach us that the most powerful work we can do is to be obedient and faithful in the work of prayer.

When we pray we link hands with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, a powerful threefold linkage. What a privilege to be included on this dynamic team.

Prayer is the ultimate strategy for releasing God's power into our lives, our families, our churches, and our world.

Our Lord declared, "Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." (Jeremiah 33:3) BUT WE MUST CALL UNTO HIM.

God said, "Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance" (Psalm 2:8) BUT WE MUST ASK.

Paul wrote to the Ephesians that our God "is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Eph. 3:20)

BUT WE MUST ASK.

PRAYER IS GOD'S STRATEGY

January

Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice. (Ps. 55:17)

01   Pray for God to grant a great and lasting revival in Wyoming

02   O God, revive the believers in each of our churches so that we may rejoice in You.

03   Lift up prayers for River of Life Baptist Church, Cokeville, for a strong witness in that area.

04   Pray that God's people will make their requests known to God regardless of the situation.

05   Every believer has a circle of influence. Pray that believers in Wyoming would commit to share Christ, as they actively and intentionally build relationships with “not-yet-believers.”

06   Pray for the State Evangelism Conference, that God's Spirit would “super charge” the hearts and lives of those who attend and that Kingdom Fruit would be the result.

07   Father, stir the hearts of believers across Wyoming to remove anything from their lives or their church that would hinder our experience of revival.

08   Pray that God will be honored as Wind River Baptist Church , Pinedale, reaches out to the lost.

09   Pray for God to give our leaders insight and wisdom as to where He is working in Wyoming

10   Pray for Sidney Schmidt, Retired LIFT missionary on his birthday.

11   Pray for the Set Free Church, Riverton, as they minister to people suffering through chemical and alcohol addictions. Pray for the leaders of this work.

12   Yellowstone Baptist Church , Cheyenne , is located in a growing area. Pray for their outreach to the community with the Gospel.

13   Pray that all Christians will sense the urgency to pray for spiritual awakening.

14   Pray that Christians will bring their sins before the throne of God, confessing and seeking God's forgiveness.

15   Pray for Wamsutter Baptist Church , Wamsutter, as they reach out to the influx of people involved in the Energy Fields.

16   Pray that your worship service each Sunday will not simply be “business as usual.” Pray that your pastor will have the freedom to boldly preach God's Word to you and your church.

17   Pray for Christians across Wyoming to find the hope and future of their lives in Christ Jesus.

18   Wind River Indian Baptist Church, Fort Washakie faces many challenges. Ask God to direct them as they seek to meet the many needs among our Native Americans.

19   Pray for C.M., LIFT missionary on this her birthday.

20   Ask the Lord to open our eyes to the desperate spiritual condition of our nation.

21   Pray that we will fall on our faces in repentance so our land can be healed.

22   Pray for Yellowstone Baptist Church , Cody, that they will look to the Lord as their strong tower of hope.

23   God thank You for your deliverance from sin and for Your divine protection.

24   Pray for Ulla Sheesley, LIFT missionary, serving in Germany . Also pray for Emma Martin, MK in Germany .

25   Pray for Wright Baptist Church , Wright, that they will stand firm in the faith, encouraging one another when they experience various trials.

26   Pray for continuing development of prayer partners and relationships within Wyoming and with churches and associations, including trained prayer coordinators in each area.

27   Pray for our Wyoming/Canada partnership. Pray that God will provide the church planters of Southern Alberta , with open doors for evangelism and discipleship.

30   Pray that the Wyoming Southern Baptist Center for Leadership Development, in Casper , Buffalo , Gillette, Rock Springs , Cheyenne , Riverton would produce indigenous leaders for our churches.

Prayer also will be made for Him continuously, and daily He shall be praised. (Ps. 72:15b)

01    It is not enough to have correct doctrine; pray that we will have an ongoing love relationship with Christ that is more important than anything else and that is evident by our love for one another.

02   Pray for Wilson Community Fellowship, Wilson, as they minister to tourists, workers of many nationalities, and residents. Pray that people will open their hearts to receive Christ as Savior.

03   Pray that God will cause to happen whatever needs to happen in the hearts of Wyoming Baptists so that incidences of conflict in our churches across the state would decrease. May we empty ourselves of selfish ambitions and agendas and embrace His will and love, through Christ our Lord.

04   Pray that God will raise up everyday believers to begin new ministries, Bible studies, and churches in Wyoming .

05   Pray for Westside Baptist Church , Gillette, that God will bless their Bible Studies, their youth program and that God will give them a mission heart.

06   Pray for Sunday School leaders and workers as they teach God's Word to transform lives.

07   Pray for Sunrise Baptist Church , Casper , Pray that they will be a people dependent on prayer, as they reach the lost in Casper .

08   Ask the Lord to forgive us as a nation for turning from Him.

09    Pray that we will walk in love, as Christ has loved us.

10   Pray for Cooperative Program giving in churches to increase in support of missions, Wyoming ministry needs, and other SBC causes.

11   Pray that believers and churches which have not walked in love and which have become a blemish to the Bride of Christ will repent and seek to be healed. (Eph. 5:25-27)

12   Pray that churches in Wyoming can develop a passion for the people who live, work and play in the resort areas of our state.

13   Pray for Paradise Valley Baptist Church , Casper . Ask God to bless and use their outreach to children, families, and community as they seek to meet physical and spiritual needs.

14   On this day which celebrates “love”, praise and thank God for the greatest love of all, the love which He has given to you.

15   Pray that God's people will have the courage and strength to be willing to be crushed in the hands of God so we can experience true revival and spiritual awakening.

16    Pray that your church will see lost people come to know Christ during your worship and Bible study times.

17   Pray for Superior Baptist Church , Superior , to continue to be strong in the Lord as they reach out beyond the walls of the church to their community.

26   Pray that God will give us an unquenchable thirst for His Word.

27   Pray for Ten Sleep Baptist Church, Ten Sleep. Ask God to raise up dedicated leaders, that their church body will grow in the Lord and that they will reach their community for Christ.

28   Pray that God would be at work in the hearts of those in Wyoming who have yet to know Him through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

01    Pray for the Heart Mountain Cowboy Church in Powell and Michael McKnight , church planter, that they will find a sponsoring partner church.

02   Pray for relationships with campus staff and faculty to grow and strengthen and that opportunities to share the gospel occur.

03   Pray for the Directors of Missions serving across Wyoming to have wisdom in their ministry and the strength to carry out their various responsibilities.

04   Pray for Primera Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida, Evanston , for their pastor and members to meet the spiritual and sometimes physical needs of the Hispanic community in Evanston .

05   Pray that churches in Wyoming would know how to best cooperate in church planting efforts in Canada .

06    Pray that every believer in each Hispanic congregation will continue to grow in the knowledge of the Word and be obedient to the Word.

07   Pray for our churches to hear the Acts 1:8 call and see the mission opportunities in their own Jerusalem (town) and Judea ( Wyoming ).

08   Pray God's blessings on Heart of the Valley, Mountain View , as they have a heart for beginning new work in several areas of Southwest Wyoming .

09   Pray that God would reveal the unique strategy for each church as they intentionally plan for evangelism through their church.

10   Pray that God will guard and encourage pastors and ministry staff and their wives.

11   Pray that God would call out more willing servants for the “oil patch” Ministries and to pastor our Wyoming churches.

12   Opal Baptist Church , Opal, in the heart of the energy fields – a beautiful new church- pray that the people in this area will hunger to know God and come to this church.

13   Ask God to help you become the type of praying Christian that others can call on to intercede with the Father on their behalf, knowing that you will be faithful to do so.

14   Pray not only for our military personnel but also for those against whom we are fighting, keeping in mind that they are also someone's husband or brother and that they probably do not know Jesus.

15   Ask God to begin revival in your town, in your state, in this nation, in the world by beginning revival in your own heart.

16   Pray for Roundtop Baptist Church , Thermopolis. Pray for strength and direction for the pastor and the congregation as they face many challenges.

17   Ask God to bless you this day allowing you to be a blessing to someone else today.

18   Unity Missionary Baptist Church , Cheyenne – thank God for their faithfulness in serving God even when trials come their way – they remain faithful.

19   Pray for our Transitional Pastors as they lead their churches to become healthy and vibrant churches, ready to bring in a new pastor.

20   Pray for our student leaders on the University of Wyoming Campus as they work with their peers to reach their campus for Christ.

21   Pray for that single parent who is struggling to maintain a stable life for himself/herself and their children.

22   Pray for the prison ministries, the youth outreach and the impact that First Southern Baptist Church, Rawlins, has on the entire city. Pray that God will use this church for His glory and honor.

23   Pray for your pastor and family.

24   Pray for those that are missionaries in North America . Ask God to bless and protect them and that their work may glorify His Name.

31   Pray for that church which is experiencing conflict within the church family. Pray that they will deal with their problems in a Christ-like manner, that their Christian witness will not be adversely affected.

01    Pray for WSBC Executive Board as they determine policy and work with staff in developing and supporting the various ministries of the convention.

02   Pray that God will call Wyoming students to serve as summer missionaries. Pray that God will bless Wyoming with an abundance of student missionaries.

03   Pray that the members of First Baptist Church , Saratoga , will look to the Lord as their strong tower of hope.

04   Pray that God would call students to fulltime ministry and that students would answer the call.

05   Pray for parents as they try to navigate the waters of so many influences which may be harmful to their children.

06   Pray for the Joint Advisory Committees in each area to have wisdom and discernment in planning cooperative ministry of their churches.

07   Pray that the members of Trinity Baptist Church , Laramie , will allow Christ to live His life through them by faith.

08   Pray that God will provide the necessary funding for Church Planters as they invest their lives and families in the beginning of new works.

09   Pray for the new Set Free ministry in Riverton and for Richard Mills, Set Free church planter. Pray that they will reach those addicted to drugs and alcohol and disciple them into a reproducing and multiplying community.

10   Pray that God's love will be manifested through the lives of the members of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church , Rock Springs .

11   Pray for our teachers in the WSBC Center for Leadership Development as they prepare the next generation of pastors and other church leaders .

12   Pray that Christians in the “oil patch” will share their testimony, live the example, and be a good influence right where God has placed them.

13   Pray that the Lord would call more Hispanic pastors and laborers to the harvest field.

14   Pray that Grace Fellowship, Evanston , will unite in prayer for one another and that their faith will remain strong until Jesus comes.

15   Pray for open hearts and minds of students as believers share their story.

19   Pray for college students from schools across WY who will be serving in WY, the US , and around the world in summer missions.

27   As our nation observes Memorial Day, thank God for all of the brave members of our armed forces who have risked, and in many cases sacrificed, their lives that we may continue to enjoy many freedoms. Take time to thank an active or retired military person for their service.

01    Pray for children and adults that will be involved in Vacation Bible Schools across Wyoming .

02   May we seek God's vision to guide us.

03   Pray for Christians in Snowy Range Baptist Church , Laramie , to seek the heart of God about everything in prayer regardless of how small or large the circumstance.

04   Pray that God will enable our Wyoming churches to see the need for “birthing” new churches and to develop a passion to sponsor these new works.

05   Pray for God's hand and blessing on the World Changers projects in Casper and Salt Lake City . Pray that God will raise up churches and students in Wyoming to be involved in World Changers .

06    Pray for the Northern Arapaho tribe's communities of Beaver Creek, Arapaho, St. Stephens and Ethete. Pray that God will send out workers into this field and that the Gospel will free the Arapaho from the bondage of animistic religion.

07   Pray for Iglesia Bautista Agua Viva, Rock Springs , that they will be submissive to God.

08   Pray that our churches would place greater effort on identifying gifted leaders and matching those leaders with appropriate ministries in the church and the community.

09   Pray for churches that are in building programs, that God will provide resources and that churches will wait on Him.

10   Pray that Fellowship Baptist Church , LaBarge, members will pray without ceasing and never give up.

11   Pray that Hispanic leaders will serve the Lord with absolute integrity.

12   Pray that Christians connected to the oil patch will mirror Jesus in all areas of their lives.

13   Pray for funds to maintain the BCM House, Laramie , and the ministries that are provided for our students.

14   Pray that members of Bridger Valley Baptist Church , Lyman, will not yield to temptation, but the renewing of their minds to know God's will.

15   Pray that all camps and conferences will have a safe season, free of any injuries to campers, staff, or others.

16   Pray for fathers, that they will fulfill the leadership roll which God has assigned to them in Christ.

17   When members of cults come to your door to witness, pray specifically for them that they may come to a true understanding of who God is.

18   Pray for the Journey Church , Rock Springs , that they will not grow weary in serving, but depend on the strength and energy that only God can provide.

19    Pray that those in your church who have had opportunities to attend all sorts of training events for their various roles in the church will now use what they have learned to strengthen the life and witness of your church enthusiastically.

02   Pray for Marvin Owen , WSBC Church Health Strategist, as he works with churches to develop strong and healthy ministries, in his work with pastorless churches, and churches in transition.

03   Pray that believers in Hudson Baptist Fellowship will be eager to be used by God to turn others from darkness to light.

04   Pray that God will give a spirit of generosity to our churches in the Delmar, Lottie Moon, and Annie Armstrong mission offerings. Pray that God will use these offerings to accomplish His kingdom work.

05   Pray that God would raise up evangelistic ministries through our churches that target outdoor activities like-hunting, hiking, snowmobiling, boating, and rodeos.

06   Pray for Faith Southern Baptist Church, Lovell, for their outreach in their community and to the extension of their outreach to ranchers at the Heart Mountain Cowboy Church .

07   Pray for the start of new Hispanic work in Rawlins and other select sites across the state.

09   Ask God to help you live for Him seven days a week, not just one.

10   Pray for Immanuel Southern Baptist Church, Gillette, that the Christians will be encouragers to those God has placed in their paths.

12   Pray for the Lord to raise up volunteer and other missions leadership to serve in areas needed in the convention office so that we can better resource churches in every area of ministry need.

13    Pray for Iglesia Bautista Principe de Paz, Casper that their zeal in sharing Jesus with unbelievers will grow individually and as the body of Christ.

14   Ask God to stir your heart to desire for more intensive, personal Bible study.

15   Pray that God would give our churches a vision for multiplication, that we would see the need to be, not just be a people gathered; but a people sent.

16   Pray that our churches would continue to take advantage of the wonderful Sunday School training opportunities available in our state.

17   Pray that the Wyoming Church Body will have a burning desire to reach and disciple the transient oil patch work force and their families for Christ.

18   Pray for First Southern Baptist Church, Douglas, that others will see God's love in and through them and know that they are His children.

19   Pray for our mature Christian university students to purposely position themselves among the lost to provide a witness.

20   Thank God for those wise saints who went before us and who had the vision to establish the Cooperative Program. Thank Him for all the good the CP has done in His name, and ask Him to cause us to be found faithful in continuing to support this great evangelism tool.

21   Pray for First Southern Baptist Church, Moorcroft, to sense the urgency to pray for spiritual awakening.

22   Ask God to provide you with an opportunity to disciple and/or mentor a newer believer.

23   Pray for teachers and children as they prepare to return to school for another year.

24   Pray for church secretaries as they provide tremendous assistance to both church staff and the congregations.

25   Pray for First Southern Baptist Church, Powell as they reach out to people in their community, the state and around the world sharing the gospel to the ends of the earth.

26   Pray for staff and leaders as they prepare to move into a new church year.

28   Pray for college freshman students to seek out Christian fellowship.

29   Pray for Bennett Creek Baptist Church , Clark , as they share the gospel in their community, particularly to the youth, that many will come to accept Christ as their Savior.

01   Ask God to give us sensitive hearts, that we can help those who are hurting.

02   Pray that God will bless and multiply the Outdoor Ministries to men and women in our churches. Pray that God will use these ministries in evangelism and discipleship.

03   Pray for Hillcrest Baptist Church , Riverton, that their faith will remain strong until Jesus comes and that they will continue to be a light in a dark world.

04   Pray for the WSBC Executive Board as they determine policy and work with staff in developing and supporting the various ministries of the convention.

05   Pray for Tim Richardson , WSBC Church Mission Strategist, as he works with churches to involve members in missions and mission projects in Canada , Mexico and other opportunities.

06   Pray for the Lord to open doors so that we can plant the seeds of the Gospel to all people in Wyoming .

07   Pray that believers in Iron Mountain Country Church , Cheyenne will be energized by God's power and persevere in doing the work that God has given them to do.

08    Pray for the University of Wyoming administration and how it functions with faith based recognized student organizations.

09   Pray for our churches without a pastor, and ask God to guide the search committees to the person He would have lead each church.

10   Ask God to help your church learn to “step outside the box” and find new ways to reach the lost for Christ.

11   Pray for Granger Baptist Mission that the seeds of God's Word will take root in the hearts of those that need to know Him.

12   Ask God to help you learn to “pray without ceasing.”

13   Pray that God will use the WMU ministries in our churches to lead in teaching and leading missionary efforts.

14   Pray that members of Emmanuel Baptist Church , Rock Springs , will have a renewed relationship with their Heavenly Father. Pray that they would embrace the Word of God and hunger after Him.

15   Pray that we will disciple all believers-new and old.

16   Pray concerning the casinos on the Wind River Indian Reservation. Ask God to show His people how we can minister to those caught in the deception of instant riches and quick fixes and point them to freedom in Christ.

17   Pray for Iglesia Bautista Hispana, Cheyenne , that unbelievers will be drawn to Christ through evidence of the Holy Spirit in the lives of Christians around them.

18   Pray for the various ministries reaching to those incarcerated in jails and the Wyoming State Penitentiary.

19   Pray for those that worship false gods, that someone will show them the One True God.

20   Thank God for that special talent or gift He has given you and ask Him to enable you to use it for His Glory.

21    Pray that our churches would see new opportunities for cooperative ministry in our area, such as building crews, multi-housing ministries, energy industry ministries, etc.

22    Pray for First Baptist Church , Jeffrey City , that they will allow Christ to live His life through them by faith.

23   Pray that God will enable you to follow Him wherever He may lead.

24   Pray that God will intervene, perhaps through you, in the life of that person who woke up today believing that his/her life is no longer worth living and now is contemplating ending it.

25   Pray for those throughout our nation and world who go to bed hungry at night. Pray also that as Christians we will feel a burden to help alleviate this sad situation.

26   Pray for Faith Community Church , Gillette, to bring glory to the name of Jesus as they represent Him in their words and deeds.

27   Pray for those pastors who are serving a church on an interim basis that they truly may be a blessing to the congregation as they go through the transition time between two full-time pastors.

28   Pray that as students go off to college, they will take their faith and their witness with them, and not be drawn away from their beliefs by new friends, situations, or ideas.

29   Pray for the WSBC support staff who serve alongside our strategists, that they have strength and wisdom for various aspects of their responsibilities.

30   Ask God to give particular guidance to those who are preparing for the ministry.

18   Many people's work is dangerous and many require a great deal of travel- pray for their safety on the job and on the roads.

19    Pray for Circle C Cowboy Church, Rock Springs , as they witness to Cowboys and their families, that many will come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

20   Ask God to give you clear guidance as you make a critical decision.

21   As you deal with a difficult or heartbreaking situation in your life, remember that God's Word says, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor. 12:9)

25   Pray that our churches would be open and accepting of newcomers. Pray that it would never be said of any of our churches that they are unfriendly or uncaring.

26   Pray for continued growth and spiritual development in each church body, for strong discipleship for each believer.

27   Pray for Evansville Baptist Church , Evansville , members to be bold in their testimonies for Christ.

28   Ask God to give special guidance to parents in today's society as they seek to monitor their children's reading materials, movies, music, and internet usage.

11   Pray for Warm Valley Baptist Church , Pavillion, that God will direct them as they reach out to the community, sharing the love of God to all peoples.

12   Pray that God will awaken an understanding in the life of the members of your church, of the importance of and need for a commitment to “fervent, effectual prayer.”

13    Ask God to help you remember that no matter how bad you may think things are in your life, you don't have to look far to find someone whose problems are even worse. Ask Him to bless that other person.

15   Pray for our churches to hear the Acts 1:8 call and send people to Samaria ( USA ) and the end of the earth. Pray for opportunities of our people and churches to be involved in partnership mission trips.

16   Pray for the various chaplaincy ministry opportunities within the state and in other parts of the nation.

17   Pray for Boyd Avenue Baptist Church , Casper , as they reach out beyond their church to meet the needs in the community and support new work in the Midwest/Edgerton area.

18   Pray for the Lord to raise up volunteer and other missions leadership to serve in areas needed in the convention office so that we can better resource churches in every area of ministry need.

19   Pray for the growing awareness among men of the importance of putting God first in their lives.

20   Thank God for those people who give up being a part of the worship service in your church in order to take care of the babies and youngest children,, so that their parents may participate in the service.

21   Pray for Bar Nunn Baptist Church , Bar Nunn, in their outreach to their community as they share with others the wonderful work of our Lord.

22   Thank God for the richness that Christian senior adults add to our lives. Go out of your way to thank one of them for what he or she has meant to your life.

23   Students are at a time in their lives when they are making some of the most important life decisions. Pray that students will realize that the decisions they make can have a huge affect on their lives and the lives of others.

24    As the nation observes Thanksgiving Day, thank God for specific things in your life. If you are with family, share thoughts and prayers of thanksgiving.

25   Give thanks for the many lives that are touched through the ministries at Antelope Valley Baptist Church , Gillette.

26   Ask God for perseverance when you are bogged down in a task and cannot imagine being able to finish it.

27   “Count your blessings, name them one by one. Count your blessings, see what God has done.” And prayerfully thank him for each and every one.

28   Pray for Frontier Baptist Church , Cheyenne, that as believers they will seek to know the mind of Christ.

29   Pray for the single adults in your church. Pray that they will feel included in the fellowship of the church.

30   Pray for those that have lost a loved one during this year. Pray that they will be comforted and free to rejoice and give thanks for His mercy and love .

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. (Acts 4:31)

06    Thank God for the music staff personnel, volunteer choir leaders, accompanists, and choir members who give unselfishly of their time and talents to provide special music events to lead us in worship all year, but especially at this Christmas Season.

29   Restore the joy of Your salvation to us; let us experience the joy of Your presence.

30   Let Your peace rule and guard our hearts; give us more of You, Jesus –You are peace.

31   As we step into another year let each of us remember, “Great is His faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore I will hope in him.” (Lamentations 3:23-24 NLT)
